After the problem became widespread (not only Lada Largus owners face it, but also Renault Sandero, Logan, Duster, built on the B0 platform), the “Heater deflector warm feet” accessory appeared on the market. This is a piece of plastic that should be installed on the standard air duct and secured with the M6 nut that comes with the kit (instead of the standard one).

Tuning the dashboard in Renault Duster can be done in two ways:

With a complete replacement of the panel with another model (for example, Ferrum). This method is suitable for those who are not satisfied with the list of functions of standard equipment. The new part includes the panel itself, an adapter, a control panel, wiring, sensors and installation and operating instructions. Sensors not included in the standard design of the original Renault panel are pulled separately into the engine compartment. The total mileage at the time of replacement is entered into the on-board computer manually.
With backlight replacement. The standard illumination of the Renault panel is quite fragile, so on uneven roads it can flicker or turn off completely. To get brighter and more reliable lighting, you need to install 15 LEDs or a solid LED panel instead.

A complete panel replacement is significantly more expensive, but has the important advantage of additional functions. Depending on the model, this may be an air temperature sensor, displaying tips for choosing the optimal gear, etc.

Installing a new backlight is performed in the following sequence:

prepare KA-3528 LEDs or a solid panel, tweezers, TORX screwdrivers (T10, T20), slotted screwdriver and soldering iron with a thin needle tip;
remove the cover from the steering column using T20, remove the instrument panel from 2 connectors, unscrew the screws and remove the protective cover;
press out the 3 latches that become visible after dismantling the cover, separate the board from the panel body;
Carefully pry up the speedometer and tachometer needles with a slotted screwdriver and remove them with tweezers;
heat up and prepare the soldering iron;
unsolder the standard LEDs (6 of them are located under the dashboard, 3 of the remaining ones are each under the tachometer and speedometer), clean the mounting points on the board;
solder new lamps or LED panel;
connect the instrument panel and check the functionality of the new backlight;
if the test result is positive, reassemble the panel in reverse order.

When the front passenger seat backrest is folded, it becomes possible to transport objects longer than 2.5 meters.

Yes, there may be a problem when the driver’s feet get cold in a Renault Duster. But, nevertheless, it is rather inflated than it is a serious argument in favor of refusing to buy a car. After all, the Duster, like other cars, has a “stove” function that can redistribute hot air depending on need, including to the legs.
