Snow chains: which is better to choose?

The other day I read a colleague’s post about buying snow chains, looked at the pictures - there’s nothing special in the production, and the price is outrageous... And then the idea came to try to make something similar, just to know for myself whether it would work or not.

I went online to see how the chains were connected, but found something more interesting, namely anti-slip bracelets. They are distinguished by their lighter weight/size, convenience and quick installation, and most importantly, the bracelets can be put on the wheel when the car is already sitting in the snow, while the chains were initially designed to be installed before a difficult section by driving over them and then fixing them. Otherwise, it will be extremely inconvenient to wear them in the snow. Although the chains “row” better, since they are distributed over the entire surface of the tire. But... you need to get out of the snowy yard to work quickly in the morning, so I chose bracelets for myself.

So, today I'm shopping, I'm taking: - load securing straps with a spring lock, 180 rubles per pair, I took 2 pairs; - a chain with welded links, a diameter of about 4 mm, around 120 rubles per meter, I took 2 meters - a steel tube with a diameter of 10 mm, I had at home, for bushings; — bolts/nuts, etc. there were houses in scattering.

First you need to cut the chain based on the size of the rubber. I drive on 195/60 R15 tires in winter and summer, so the length of the chain sections will be the same, namely 15 links. For each bracelet you need a couple of chain pieces, that is, for two I cut 4 pieces.

Next, a simple design is assembled, which is easier to look at in photographs than to describe
