For example, for a 55Ah battery, the reserve capacity will be approximately 85-90 minutes. What does it mean that the car moves thanks to the energy of the battery (fully charged at the time of generator failure) for 1.5 hours.

Capacity

Capacity is one of the most basic parameters of any battery (measured in Amp-hours). If we look at this term in a simple way, it indicates how much energy the battery holds. This parameter is determined using a long-term discharge (20 hours) under strictly established temperature conditions (+25 degrees C).

According to GOST, a battery with a capacity of 55 Ah is installed for the VAZ-2107, but this is more of a recommendation than a strict requirement. A battery with both 50 Ah and 60 Ah will work well on this car. But here it should be understood that the higher the capacitance value, the more energy it will contain. Taking into account the fact that additional consumers are now installed on cars (audio system, all kinds of auxiliary equipment), additional Amp-hours will not be superfluous.

So, for the carburetor version you need a battery with a larger capacity than for the injection version.
